Prodige admis à 13 ans au CNSM de Paris, premier nommé, formé auprès de Brigitte Engerer, lauréat du Prix Blüthner et titulaire du diplôme de concertiste de l’École Normale, Louis Lancien s’impose aujourd’hui comme l’une des figures les plus singulières de la scène musicale française.

Concertiste recherché, il se produit avec l’Orchestre de Thaïlande à Bangkok et le Ballet de Stuttgart sous la direction de Mikhail Agrest, et brille sur les scènes mythiques de l’Opéra Garnier et de l’Opéra Bastille, tant en piano solo qu’aux côtés de l’Orchestre de l’Opéra de Paris.

En 2025, il électrise Paris avec une Rhapsody in Blue magistrale dans le spectacle Racines, ovationnée sous la direction de Vello Pähn. Chambriste raffiné, il joue également avec les solistes de l’Opéra de Paris.

Créateur reconnu, il signe un album consacré à Prokofiev ainsi que le disque Ballet Class Music 4 — Le cours d’après avec Andrey Klemm.

Après avoir travaillé pour les prestigieux Ballets de Paris et de Stuttgart, il revient en 2024 comme Chef de Chant du Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris, consacrant une maturité artistique exceptionnelle.

Invité des festivals Nohant, Dinard, Châteauroux ou Ars Terra, et aperçu au cinéma dans En corps de Cédric Klapisch, Louis Lancien incarne aujourd’hui un pianiste rare, inspiré, dont l’intelligence musicale, la virtuosité lumineuse et l’élégance artistique marquent durablement chaque scène.

A prodigy admitted at the age of 13 to the Paris Conservatoire (CNSM), ranked first, trained under Brigitte Engerer, winner of the Blüthner Prize, and holder of the concertist diploma from the École Normale, Louis Lancien today stands as one of the most singular figures on the French musical scene.

A sought-after soloist, he performs with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra in Bangkok and the Stuttgart Ballet under Mikhail Agrest, and shines on the legendary stages of Opéra Garnier and Opéra Bastille, both as a solo pianist and alongside the Paris Opera Orchestra.

In 2025, he electrified Paris with a triumphant performance of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue in Racines, conducted by Vello Pähn. A refined chamber musician, he also performs regularly with the Paris Opera soloists.

As a creator, he recorded an album dedicated to Prokofiev and released Ballet Class Music 4 — Le cours d’après with distinguished Paris Opera professor Andrey Klemm.

After serving the prestigious Ballets of Paris and Stuttgart, he returned in 2024 as Chef de Chant of the Paris Opera Ballet, marking a new peak in artistic maturity.
